India’s eCommerce’s small town delivery challenges

With India’s eCommerce business facing slower growth, investors are looking at expanding into upcountry and rural areas. But poor last-mile supply chain and lower volumes make this a difficult prospect. However, companies such as Amazon are developing new strategies such as Amazon’s 4,000 Pickup Points nationwide, to overcome this problem. Some companies such as Craftsvilla is partnering with traditional logistics players such as Indian Post to developed an assisted shopping model and move their online business offline with a network of kiosks.
