GrowSari is a B2B ecommerce startup focusing on small groceries or sari-sari stores in the Philippines. The startup eliminates the middleman and enables small shop owners to order products on demand.
Customers order products with the app and the startup provides free next-day delivery. They also sell pre-paid mobile credit on the platform, provide promotional services, and working capital loans with their “Paylater” programme. GrowSari serves more than 25,000 customers and plans to reach 200,000 sari-sari stores by 2022.
There are 1.1 million Sari-Sari stores in the Philippines. It is the preferred shopping destination for Filipinos — providing convenience and a high degree of trust for customers. According to Kantar research, sari-sari and traditional trade contribute more than 50 percent of FMCG sales in the country and drive more than 60 percent of all cash transactions in the country.
